It's just impossible to look at this visual masterpiece and not become mesmorized by its aerodynamic posture. Straight lines here, curvy lines there, and most important... the cool factor. But, you just have to expect that from GM by now; always making us drool. As its many brothers before it, the new Stingray brings to the table a sense of being unequivicably race inspired. This of course may be due to its unique ability to make you feel as if your face is being ripped off its skull (just kidding of course). This blistering effect comes as a result of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, braking from 60 to 0 in 107 feet, and sustaining 1.03 g in cornering. You can breath now.

You may be asking, so what's the difference between the Z51 and the regular Stingray? Well, for starters, and additional $2,800 Z51 Performance Package includes an electronic limited-slip differential; dry-sump oiling system; integral brake, differential and transmission cooling; as well as a unique aero package that further improves high-speed stability. You can even add the very popular Magnetic Ride Control with Performance Traction Management as a bonus option. As far as the gear-head specs go, how about a 6.2-liter LT1 V-8 engine generating 460 horse power and handling that quarter-mile with a time of 11.9 seconds. I know, we're impressed too.

But to answer your question in simple terms, unmatched performace. We were fortunate enough to test the Z51 Vette on everyday roads and on the test track. We found a couple of surprising things. First off, among the plethora of modes for different driving settings, you have Magnetic Selective Ride ControlTM incorporate Performance Traction Management (PTM), which integrates the Traction Control, StabiliTrak® and Selective Ride Control systems to provide consistent performance when cornering in track situations. PTM contains five modes. Mode 5 is race active with handling off (not for the faint of heart). You also have a weather, ECO (which of course allows you to enjoy your gas tank a little longer), touring and sport.

So let's talk about the interior cabin. How can you describe the feeling of not nowing how to fly a jet-fighter, yet you find yourself wrapped in its cockpit? That's kind of what we felt when we entered the Z51. Okay, so let's knock out the first question that comes to mind: Is it comfortable? Although it's not like sleeping on a cloud - and you wouldn't expect it to be, surprisingly yes! You are immediately surrounded and held tightly by the race inspired seats and having all the bells and whistles you would expect of something created in the lab of a mad scientist.

Sound system you say? Why yes thank you. We were amazed with the Bose nine-speaker audio system with SiriusXM Satellite radio, offering Bluetooth connectivity, USB and SD card and auxiliary input jack. Dual, eight-inch configurable driver/infotainment screens, with next-generation Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system and rear vision camera as well.

But at the end of day and all the dropped jaws and "hey dude, that ride is sick!" comments, you feel rather civilized, knowing that it can definitley be your daily driver. However, if and when you need it, the beast within will answer your call. So be careful, because you just might get hooked on a feeling that very few cars can give.
