Fast & Furious 7

The launch of the latest in the franchise of the Fast & Furious films has brought fans from all over the world more than an action film. It has managed to bring a sense of reality amidst all the fantastic and sensational action-packed sequences. This film in our opinion (and unfortunately due to circumstances) has provided an opportunity for everyone to think more about the more important things in our life. One thing will be evident throughout the movie, and that is that family really is important, probably more than some would think.

Many of us have grown up along with the characters of the Fast & Furious films and for many, the love of cars is really what originally brought us to watch these movies. We watched not for the acting but for seeing cool cars do what they do best; go very fast and look incredible while doing it. As the films progressed, many started to identify with the different personalities and usually had a favorite from the team.

As far as the financial side of this Fast 7, well it is estimated that at the Chinese opening day of April 12, earnings world-wide may even reach the billion dollar mark. Not a bad day for Hollywood right? Director James Wan hit this one so far out of the ball-park that he still has no idea of when the ball will land, or where for that matter. Of course there are those that will always say, that it's just Hollywood taking advantage of the tragedy that struck Paul Walker and friend Roger Rodas. We say, not so.
It is an all action, adrenaline rush, fast-paced ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It isn't until the final scenes that you realize the reality of what's going on, on screen and off. There is so much respect given to the memory of Paul Walker, it will be evident through the lines and faces of the actors. It's as if for a moment you can see through their souls as they appear to become lost in the vivid memories of what now seems like a dream.

RPM Weekly wanted to take this opportunity to add to the many voices of so many fans of the Fast & Furious movies, by paying our respects to Paul Walker (Brian). His love for cars and the emotions that he felt as he drove them was contagious, and we could feel it as we watched the big screen.

Will Fast & Furious be back? We don't know. But if it doesn't, we can all say that we have been part of a Hollywood footprint that will become the center of discussion around many circles and get-togethers, especially around the street racing scene that many of us will only dream of ever being a part of. Thank you Fast & Furious cast and crew, and to all who have been touched by the spirit of the life of Paul Walker through the years.
